Maryam Maquillage
One of my favorite makeup artist on the Internet is an artist named Maryam Maquillage. Her work is amazing. As a Half Hispanic, Half Hawaiian woman, I am always looking for looks that enhance rather than detract from my exotic features. This beauty maven has produce tutorials that do just that.

Coral & Turquiose
This bright, easy look is my go-to for the summer and takes little to no time to put together. Turquoise liner looks amazing against all skin tones and eye colors, plus it brightens the complexion and adds a nice pop to every day makeup.
To replicate this look, start by defining the crease with a neutral taupe or plummy nude shade, then add a touch of shimmery nude to the center of the lid and highlight the inner corner with a pearly eyeshadow. If you have almond shaped eyes like me, add a bit of bronze eyeshadow to the outer corners of the eye to give it some dimension. Next, simply line the top lash line with Tarte Amazonian Clay waterproof liner in Amazonite Blue and wing out the outer corner. Apply mascara and false lashes (optional). Add a thin line of black liner over the lashes to disguise the band and to sharpen outer wing of the teal liner. Voila!

"Feline Fatale"
Products Used:
- Lancome Color Design Limited Edition Eye Brightening All-In-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in “Gris Fatale”
- Lancome Artliner Precision Point EyeLiner in Noir (intense black)
- Lancome Artliner Precision Point EyeLiner in IceBlack (black pearl)
- Lancome Le Crayon Kohl EyeLiner in Black Ebony
- Prime the lids and line the top lash line and outer third of the lower lash line with a smoldering black kohl pencil. Lancome Kohl EyeLiner is perfect for this step because it is ultra dark, yet super soft and easy to blend. Extend the outer winger in a cat-eye style.
- Using the liner applicator from the palette, smudge out the liner and wing using the sparkly black shade (labeled step 2). Don't worry about being precise.
- Using the shadow applicator from the palette or a flat brush, apply the sparkly silver shade (step 3) to the inner corner and center lid. Blend out the harsh edge.
- With the same brush, apply the gunmetal shade (4) to the outer third of the lid and outer crease, blending the color outwards, and "lifting" it toward the brow. Next, use a clean brush to apply the semi-matte peach shade (step 4) to the brow bone, blending it with the gunmetal gray. Layer the colors to strengthen the gradient.
- Apply the shimmery taupe to the center of the lid and to the inner part of the lower lash line. Adding shade to the inner corner will give the illusion of a "dropped" inner corner and will result in a more dramatic cat-eye while the outer corner is "lifted".
- Tight-line the entire waterline with the kohl pencil and seal it with the black shadow to keep it from moving.
- Line the inner half of the top lash line with the IceBlack Artliner, then line the entire lash line with the Noir Artliner and extend the outer wing. Optional: add lash "Twiggies" to the lower lash line.
- Finish with a coat of mascara and false lashes
Rose Coquette
Products used:
- Lancome Show by Alber Elbaz Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in “Rose Coquette”
- Lancome Show Hypnose Star Mascara
- Lancome Le Crayon Kohl in Black Coffee.
- Apply your primer and allow a few seconds for it to set. Line the entire eye with Lancome's soft kohl pencil in Black Coffee and outline the crease or where you want your crease to appear. To enhance my flatter eyes and low crease, I trace the shape a few mm's above my natural fold. Use the side of the pencil to thicken the shape and blend the color into the skin using your finger or a sponge applicator.
- With Lancome's #16 blending brush, apply the matte brown eyeshadow on top of the pencil, and blend out any harsh lines using small circular motions. This step dramatically enlarges the eyes.
- Apply the lightest pearl color to your brow bone using Lancome #13 brush and continue to blend any harsh edges.
- Using Lancome's #11 shadow brush, pat the pink shadow all over the empty space of the lid and highlight the inner corner. Flip over the brush and add the sparkly bronze shade to the outer third of the lid.
- Deepen the outer-v of the eye using the darkest shade in the palette on the #16 brush. Add the same shade to the outer third of the lower lash line.
- Curl your lashes and apply Lancome's Hypnose Star Mascara. Optional: Line the waterline with the Black Coffee kohl pencil to bring out the eyes -- this trick makes brown and hazel eyes look brighter and richer.
- Use a nude color on lips to complete the look

- Apply the lightest shade to your brow bone using the #13 brush, then highlight the inner corner.
- With the #17 blending brush, apply the matte gray shade to your crease. Use windshield wiper motions to layer the color and circular motions to blend out any harsh edges.
- Pat on the vibrant blue shade all over the lid using the #11 brush.
- TIP: For deeper-set eyes, concentrate the color on the center of the lid and feather it into the crease shade.
- Using the liner side of the dual-end #24 brush, line the entire lash line and waterline with black gel liner. Extend the outer wing and thicken the outer portion.
- Using the smudger side of the dual-end #24 brush and the darkest shade in the palette, smudge out the liner and darken the outer corner of the lid. Highlight the center of the lid with the sparkly highlighter shade.
- TIP: Shade the outer "V" of the eye for more definition and dimension. This is a great trick for hooded eyes and Asian eyes.
- Apply your mascara and falsies.
- Use a nude lipstick to complete this look..
